Post-Op Day #3 - Out And About

Well I had a tiring day but a good one.

I had a great sleep again and the pain was much less today so I adjusted my frequency of pain killers to match it. I'm so happy with the way things have gone since surgery, I really got off easy with pain this time. haha! :-)

We went to the ranch today(Hooray!) to visit, we were there for 2 hours haha! It was great to see so many people.

My riding partner Helene was out and she decided to bring Karma up to the barn so we could groom her together. Of course I was pretty useless but I did brush the mane/tail haha! :-)
It was nice to get out in the fresh air finally, being in the house the past few days has sucked but I didn't want to risk falling or just over doing things.

I hobbled around the ranch pretty good, though lots of mud to navigate around, thank goodness we had an old towel in the car to wipe my boot and crutches off with! HA HA!

Helene lent me a wheelchair to use so that will come in handy for tomorrow, hopefully Adam and I can go around the block together if the weather is decent.

After the barn Adam and I went out for lunch at the new Thai place in North Bend, it was very tasty!

We head home and wow, I was beat from all the fresh air and visiting. I had a nap from 5pm till 8pm haha! I feel pretty good now but I know I will sleep really really good tonight.

My body is getting a good work out from using the crutches, my abs hurt from tightening them to help stabilize my body, my armpits hurt from the top of the crutches(not so fun feeling) and my right leg is getting a heck of a work out having to bare most of the weight on it. I don't think I will have to worry about gaining any weight, more like I will be toning up all over! HA HA! Hey, thats fine with me.


well thats about it for today, I'm going to relax and watch a movie with Adam before bed.
